FAQ deep-dives

Deeper answers on safety, data handling, AI's role, and what AdsPlane will and won't do to your account.

Short, common questions live on the FAQs page. This page goes deeper on the questions sellers ask most before trusting a tool with real spend.

Does AI decide what happens to my account?

No. Deterministic Python logic makes every decision — bids, budgets, pauses, negatives. AI is used only to narrate: it explains Manifests in plain English, writes your digest, and helps with onboarding copy. It never decides whether an action runs.

Python deterministic logic decides. AI narrates.

Even auto-approval is a deterministic confidence-and-Guardrail gate plus a toggle you control — not a model deciding to spend.

What data does AdsPlane send to the AI?

Only structured Manifest metadata and recommendation summaries — never your raw Amazon campaign rows, credentials, or tokens. The AI gets enough to describe a decision, not to make one.

Can AdsPlane change something outside my limits?

No. Your Guardrail Policy is enforced in code. Actions outside your caps are clamped to the cap or blocked entirely, and you see the reason. Protected terms, campaigns, and ASINs are never touched.

What happens when something goes wrong mid-run?

Automation fails closed — on error, a run pauses rather than guessing. Execution is idempotent and retry-safe, every change has a before/after snapshot, and Reconciliation flags any drift after the fact. Circuit breakers (spend spikes, drift, API errors) can auto-pause and alert you on the higher Autonomy Stages.

How long is my data kept?

Raw report data is processed for the run and not hoarded beyond the configured retention window. On Free Local Lite, your data and credentials never leave your machine. See the Security and Privacy Policy pages for specifics.

Will it start changing things immediately?

No. Every account starts in Shadow Mode — full pipeline, zero execution — and you move up the Autonomy Ladder only by opting in. Manual Gate (approve every run) is a perfectly good place to stay long-term.

Which campaigns does it touch?

Only the ones on your allowlist. Campaigns you haven't allowlisted are never pulled or acted on.
