Placement Optimization
Placement Optimization
Amazon lets you bid more for premium placements like Top of Search — but a flat multiplier you set once is a blunt instrument. Placement Optimization reads how each placement actually performs for a campaign, then adjusts the placement bids deliberately: leaning into Top of Search where the economics and demand support it, easing off where they don't. Every move is gated by the same growth-permission and Guardrail logic as the rest of the engine. Available on Hosted Growth and Hosted Pro.
Placement-level truth, not a guess
The engine pulls placement-split performance and Top-of-Search impression share, so a multiplier change is grounded in how Top of Search, product pages, and rest of search each actually performed — not a one-size number you set on day one and forget. Each placement is judged on its own merits for each campaign.
It only presses where you can afford to
A Top-of-Search push only fires where the product's economics and growth permission allow it — the same discipline the Growth Engine uses to decide what's worth funding. Placement Optimization presses winners harder and protects the rest; it never chases premium placement on spend that can't carry it.
Cooldown and rollback built in
Each placement change carries a cooldown so the engine doesn't oscillate, and an automatic rollback if the move doesn't deliver — so an aggressive placement bid can't quietly run away with your budget. Like every action, it's bounded by your Guardrail Policy and visible in the record.
Yours to tune
Advanced placement levers are exposed on Hosted Growth and Hosted Pro, so you can set how hard the engine is allowed to push premium placements — always inside your Guardrails, never above what you've authorized.
